Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham is currenlty looking to fill the position of Sales Coordinator.  The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham is an 81 room hotel.  The hotel provides a clean, affordable option for business and leisure travelers coming to Verona.  This position will work closely with the General Manager and front desk staff to help bring in new business while also retaining current business in the leisure and corporate markets.

Qualifications:  The essential qualifications include but are not limited to:

·         Hotel /Hospitality sales experience preferred

·         Strong product knowledge and understanding of hotel operations

·         Ability to prioritize, work independently and proceed with objectives independently

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Detail oriented

·         Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff and various departments

·         Self motivated

·         Team player

Job Requirements: The essential requirements include but are not limited to:

·         Assist in the development of the hotel’s marketing and sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths               within each market segment

·         Assist in implementing hotel’s sales and marketing plan

·         Assist in establishing lists of top accounts and top target accounts. Maintain communication with these                           accounts on a monthly basis.

·         Actively sell room nights through outside sales calls, tours, telemarketing, etc.

·         Make appointments and set up hotel site tours.

·         Familiar with competition, business in the market, where that business stays and why.

·         Maintain and manage room blocks and group bookings.

·         Requires extensive computer use, internet and property PMS.

·         Create flyers and mailings to promote new business.

·         Weekly and monthly reporting of all sales activities.

·         Attend Chamber and CVB meetings and events.

·         Required to use own vehicle for outside sales calls.
