Through the publishing of The Karing Cookbook the purpose is to raise funds to update and refurbish the Karing Kitchen, a soup kitchen that served over 27,000 meals in 2013 to residents of Madison County.  The kitchen is located in the Oneida First United Methodist Church, corner Main and Grove Streets, Oneida.   For many years the Karing Kitchen has supplied meals to anyone in need including flood survivors, the unemployed, servicemen and crisis volunteers as well as many community groups.  The kitchen has hosted groups including Rotary, AA and Knee-Hi to Knowledge day care.

Now, we need your help in order to keep the Karing Kitchen in shape to serve our community for years to come.

Please send your recipes for The Karing Cookbook to

Oneida First UMC via e-mail at oneidafirst@aol.com

or by mail to FUMC 116 W. Grove St. Oneida NY 13421 by September 12.

Advertisement space is also available to businesses.  Full-page ads are available for $100.  And since this cookbook will be so widespread and will be in kitchens for many years to come, this is a fantastic advertising opportunity!

Cookbooks will sell for $10 and all proceeds will go directly and only to refurbishing and updating the Karing Kitchen.  Cookbook will be available for sale by November, right before gift giving season!
