Spring Migration Festival 

May 4th and 5th from 10 am to 4 pm

Celebrate the return of the migratory birds!

Enjoy live birds of prey, a petting zoo, reptiles, live music, games, crafts, 
wildlife artists, crafters, chicken bbq and more!

Sherrill Quilt Show a Feast for the Eyes

 

Want to see over 100 new quilts? Are you looking to buy a quilted item? Ready for a chance to win a quilt worth over $1,000?

Come with your friends and family to a wholesome event hosted by the Thread Bears Quilters' Guild.

2019 Amazon Star Raffle Quilt

Quilt show hours are:

  • Saturday May 4 from 10am to 5pm and
  • Sunday May 5 from 11am to 4pm

and will be held at the Community Activity Club (CAC), 139 East Hamilton Avenue in Sherrill, NY. 

 

Quilt show attendees can:

  • see colorful bed, wall hanging, miniature, round robin and block of the month quilts as well as quilted purses and household items
  • experience a bed turning where a narrator tells the quilts' story,
  • purchase quilted items, crafts, fabrics, notions and more,
  • enter raffle for a themed basket or Judy Niemeyer designed "Amazon Star" quilt,
  • enjoy special "Converge" themed exhibition,
  • view a quilting demonstration and
  • ask guild members about quilts.

 

The guild donates quilts to organ donors & recipients, quilts for veterans, and juvenile, senior and health care organizations. Proceeds from the show help defray expenses for these quilts.

7 Continents 1 World: OPL’s International Festival

Saturday, 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

The OPL hosts a major family event for all ages at the Kallet Civic Center on May 4, featuring Craobh Dugan and the music and dancing of the Irish (11:00 a.m.); Iroquois storyteller Chris Thomas and Oneida Nation dancers (12:00 p.m.); and the Keyna Hora Klezmer Band and Dancers (1:00 pm). Many nations will be represented with exhibits and food samples. Plus Out of the Cage Pet Mobile. Admission is free
