Botanical Watercolors, June 9, 2018 

 
 
Painting flowers in watercolor is as popular now in as it was back in the 1800s. Victorians were fascinated by the natural world and the study of botany. 
 
Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques to create watercolor illustrations in botanical style. Participants will select from a variety of flowers to paint.
 
 Pamela Vogan Lynch, a professional artist and retired Director of Art for the Oneida City School District will be the instructor. 
 
The workshop will be held at the Madison County Historical Society on Saturday, June 9 from 9 am- 12pm. 
 
All watercolor materials will be provided. The cost for the workshop is $30. 
 
This workshop is for adults and children aged 13 years and up. Space is limited to 20 participants, so register soon.

City Bike Rodeo
City of Oneida Bike Rodeo
 
The City of Oneida will be holding a bike rodeo on Saturday, June 9th at Vets Field from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  The Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire Departments are teaming up for the event.  Stations will be set up for bike safety, hand signals and rules of the road.  There will also be obstacle and agility courses.  Reference Bicycle will be on hand offering bike checks. Hot dogs, drinks and freeze pops will be served.  The event is sponsored by Walmart and Hershey’s Ice Cream.  For more information on the event call the Oneida Rec Center at 315-363-3590.
